Job description

Our client is an established asbestos and environmental company with a nationwide presence. Due to continued success, they are currently looking to recruit an experienced and competent Asbestos Technical Manager to oversee contracts in and around the London area. Undertaking daily tasks such as Advising on training needs, and attend technical meetings, keep a good level of technical and quality competence in all aspects and carry our and coordinate audits, inspections, and quality control. Applications from Enfield, Ashford, High Wycombe, Basildon, and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience

• Holding the S301/CCP/P402 or the equivalent BOHS qualifications essential.
• Will come from a strong technical, quality, auditing, management and asbestos background.
• Experience in this or similar role for a UKAS accredited company.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient with Microsoft office package.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on training requirements and attend operational/technical meetings.
• Ensure a good level of technical and quality competence in all aspects.
• Carry out and co-ordinate audits, inspections and quality control – maintaining UKAS to ISO 17020 & 17025 standard accreditation.
• Comply with UKAS documentation and procedures.
• Deal with the consultancy side of the business.
• Build and maintain a strong relationship with clients.
• Update and maintain the company’s systems and equipment records effectively.
• Be flexible and well organised.
• Ability to oversee the company’s quality/technical system and help develop and improve the technical side of the business.
• Maintaining the company’s systems effectively.
