Job summary

A leading environmental consultancy in the Plymouth area is seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst. You will be responsible for conducting various surveys, carrying out clearances, and maintaining compliance with health & safety procedures. The ideal candidate should have qualifications such as P402, P403, and P404, along with excellent communication skills. This role offers an attractive salary and additional benefits.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a surveyor/analyst in the asbestos industry.
  • Fully conversant with asbestos health & safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out asbestos 4-stage clearances – smoke, background, leak reassurance, visual, re-occupation, and personal air testing.
  • Conduct management, refurbishment and demolition surveys on various properties.
  • Monitor contractors on site to ensure compliance with health & safety.
  • Produce accurate and comprehensive asbestos reports.
  • Liaise with clients regularly to maintain good relationships.

Education

We are a UKAS accredited asbestos and environmental consultancy that offers a wide range of services across the UK. An opportunity is available for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst based in and around the Plymouth area. Applications from Looe, Tavistock, Ivybridge and surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience
  • P402, P403 and P404 or equivalent RSPH qualification
  • Previous experience as a surveyor/analyst in the asbestos industry
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Fully conversant with asbestos health & safety procedures
Responsibilities
  • Carry out asbestos 4‑stage clearances – smoke, background, leak reassurance, visual, re‑occupation and personal air testing
  • Conduct management, refurbishment and demolition surveys on a range of properties, including commercial and industrial sites
  • Monitor contractors on site to ensure they carry out work effectively and in accordance with relevant health & safety procedures
  • Produce accurate and comprehensive asbestos reports
  • Liaise with clients on a regular basis to maintain good working relationships
