A leading Asbestos Consultancy in the United Kingdom is looking for an Asbestos Report Checker / Administrator to ensure the accuracy of technical reports and carry out general administrative tasks. Ideal candidates will have the BOHS P402 qualification and experience in a fast-paced office environment. Responsibilities include proofreading reports, inputting information, and liaising with clients. Job description

Our client is an independent and privately owned Asbestos Consultancy based in the South East. Due to continued success, they are now seeking to take on an Asbestos Report Checker / Administrator to join their busy office. The successful candidate will ideally hold the BOHS P402 qualification with extensive experience of checking reports for accurate technical information. You will also be responsible for carrying out general administrative tasks such as scanning / filing documents, making phone calls and booking accommodation for site staff.

Consideration will be given to candidates from: Canvey Island, South Benfleet, Southend-on-Sea, Gravesend, Stanford-Le-Hope, Tilbury, Wickford, Brentwood, Rochford, Rayleigh, Hockley.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Experience working in a fast-paced office environment within an established Asbestos Consultancy.
  • Holding the BOHS P402 or RSPH equivalent would be beneficial to the role for report checking.
  • Excellent IT / Microsoft office skills.
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to solve issues efficiently.
The Role
  • Proof reading reports provided by site staff, checking technical accuracy, ensuring to rectify any mistakes prior to sending to clients.
  • Using internal systems to accurately and efficiently input incoming jobs and relevant information.
  • Liaising with clients to confirm work to be carried out.
  • Arranging sufficient accommodation for site staff.
  • Raising purchase orders upon completion of work.
  • Carrying out general day to day duties such as making / answering phone calls, sending emails, scanning and filing documents, carrying out effective document control.
