Job description

Our client is an independent and privately owned Asbestos Constantly based in Essex who are now seeking to take on an Asbestos QC Report Checker. You will be joining a reputable team of report checkers, utilising your BOHS P402 qualification to check reports for technical accuracy, ensuring to amend any anomalies prior to sending to clients. You will also be responsible for creating site specific floor plans and working closely with clients to ensure that all requirements are being fulfilled and dealing with any issues and queries in a timely manner. Consideration will be given to candidates from: South Benfleet, Canvey Island, Southend-on-Sea, Wickford, Stanford-le-Hope, Grays, Tilbury, Gravesend. Wickford, Brentwood, Billericay, Rayleigh, Rochford, Hockley.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Will hold the BOHS P402 or RSPH equivalent qualification.
• Will have experience working within the asbestos industry working as a quality checker.
• Excellent observation skills.
• Will have excellent IT skills, able to use Microsoft office.
• Able to communicate with clients and colleagues efficiently via phone, email, face to face.

The Role:

• Working closely with employees across various departments, ensuring consistent compliance with HSE / UKAS guidelines.
• Liaising with site staff and aiding in the process of compiling reports.
• Feeding back findings of report checks to site staff, ensuring that any technical errors are amended prior to being sent to the client.
• Working alongside other departments to ensure standardised procedures and standards throughout the company.
• Raising and assisting in processing non-conformity investigations.
• Quality checking asbestos site reports, as well as, operational procedures.
• Creating specific floorplans, highlighting areas that contain asbestos.
• Liaising with clients, ensuring that requirements are being met, dealing with any issues.
