Working Days: 4 days per week (Monday to Thursday preferred)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Long-term, term-time only
Salary: £110-£115 per day (depending on experience)

Prospero Teaching is seeking a creative and organised Art Technician to support the Art Department in a vibrant secondary school in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for the arts and a keen eye for detail to play a key role in supporting students and staff in a dynamic learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain art materials, tools, and equipment for lessons.
  • Assist teachers in setting up and clearing away resources for practical sessions.
  • Support students during practical work, ensuring a safe and productive environment.
  • Manage stock levels and order supplies as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the art rooms and storage areas.
  • Assist with displays and exhibitions of student work.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or a background in art/design is desirable.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting the department.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one).
