Art Technician

Permanent Full-Time

Location: East London (E13 area)

Salary: 25,501 - 25,865 per annum (actual)

Prospero Teaching is proud to be supporting a well-established secondary school in East London in their search for a dedicated Art Technician to join their vibrant Art Department.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting teaching staff, preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a creative environment, can manage a varied workload, and is eager to learn new skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, organise, and maintain art materials, tools, and equipment
  • Support teachers during practical lessons
  • Help maintain a safe and engaging working environment
  • Assist with displays, exhibitions, and classroom organisation
  • Provide general administrative support to the department
The ideal candidate will:
  • Have a relevant degree/training
  • Be organised, proactive, and adaptable
  • Have an interest in the arts or experience in a similar technical/support role
  • Be comfortable working in a busy school environment
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional references
