Overview

Area Sales Representative - Kent, Sussex and Surrey. This position is home-based, with the expectation of working primarily in the field for four days each week and one day remotely from home.

Salary and benefits: Basic salary £36,000 to £39,000 plus company car and uncapped bonus, laptop, mobile and benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Gain new clients and maintain relationships with current ones.
  • Retain existing customers whilst developing new business in various product categories such as facade claddings/boards, floors & skirtings, decorative walls.
  • Build lasting relationships relevant to the development of distribution and sales.
  • Liaise with all distribution channels (distributors, DIY Network, shops, wholesalers, contractors).
  • Offer a professional and efficient service to retain existing customers, attract and retain new customers.
  • Work to KPIs and targets set.
Qualifications
  • Min of 2 years' experience field sales experience.
  • Experience selling into wholesalers, interior designers, architects; good knowledge of building materials with a technical understanding of the B2B or B2C channel.
  • Any experience of selling ceramic tiles, interior design, floorings, cladding and decorative walls would be highly advantageous.
  • Sales-driven with good negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.
  • Proven track record in managing existing clients while developing new business.
  • Good IT skills – MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and experience with a CRM system.
