Overview

Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager required to join a global provider of Fluid Power and Filtration products.

The successful candidate will focus on developing new business opportunities and managing key accounts in the South West for Fluid Power and Filtration related products such as hydraulic filtration, filters, filtration monitoring products, mobile filtration units, couplings, and other fluid power related products and systems on offer.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience selling or managing key accounts within a fluid power / power transmission related product or system (for example, filtration, hydraulics, pneumatics, compressed air, pumps, couplings, bearings, electric motors, filters, valves, actuators or related fluid power / hydraulic product or system).

Responsibilities
  • Develop new business opportunities and nurture existing accounts throughout the South West for hydraulic and filtration products across multiple engineering industries.
  • Sell Fluid Power and Filtration related products such as hydraulic filtration, filters, filtration monitoring products, mobile filtration units, couplings, and other fluid power related products and systems.
  • Maintain hydraulic and filtration product sales with demonstrations, exhibitions, and negotiation to achieve targets.
  • Work remotely/field based, covering the South West of the UK with regular visits to customer sites.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.
Requirements
  • Experience as a Sales Engineer, Area Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Key Account Manager, Technical Sales Engineer, Internal Sales Engineer or similar, ideally within a fluid power / hydraulic related product / industry.
  • Experience selling fluid power / power transmission related products or systems (e.g., filtration, hydraulics, pneumatics, compressed air, pumps, couplings, bearings, electric motors, filters, valves, actuators or related fluid power / hydraulic product / system). Full product training provided.
  • Candidates with a strong technical hydraulic or filtration background looking to transition into an area sales role are encouraged to apply.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Willingness to operate remotely with travel to customer sites across South West UK.
