Overview

Area Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager position in Industrial Electrical Control and Automation. Excellent negotiable salary dependent upon experience, plus benefits including company car, pension, buy/sell holidays, and more. This role focuses on selling a range of high-quality Industrial Automation products to OEMs, End Users, System Integrators and Panel Builders in the South Tyne/Teeside area (including Middlesbrough, Stockton on Tees, Darlington, Hartlepool, Sunderland and surrounding areas).

Responsibilities
  • Sell a range of Industrial Automation products (PLC, Control Gear, Switchgear and Circuit Protection, Variable Speed Drives, Sensors, HMI and Process Instrumentation) into the target markets.
  • Achieve defined sales targets and develop a personal plan to achieve objectives by managing and expanding an existing portfolio of accounts while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Demonstrate strong organisation, communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team with a degree of autonomy.
  • Maintain capability with Microsoft packages and leverage them in daily activities.
Qualifications
  • Formal qualification in Electrical/Electronic discipline to ONC/HND or above is desirable but not essential; demonstrated knowledge and sales ability in the absence of formal qualification.
  • Experience in the Industrial Automation field with a track record of sales success and achievement.
  • Strong sales potential and technical aptitude in areas related to PLCs, control gear, switchgear, circuit protection, VSDs, sensors, HMI and process instrumentation.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills; ability to work effectively as part of a team.
