Overview

The Practice

• The practice are an AJ100 company that were founded over 50 years ago.
• A recognisable name within the Midlands Architecture circuit, and a well known practice UK wide and internationally.
• Made up of over 100 employees across 8 offices in the UK and internationally, with experience across Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Interior Design.
• Works across a broad range of sectors including Healthcare, Education, Residential, Commercial and more. The Birmingham office has historically focused on Higher Education, with an increasingly balanced mix across sectors.
• Based near the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham city centre, with convenient access for rail commuters.

The Position – Architect

The position available is for an Architect to join the Birmingham office on a permanent basis. The Architect will work with established Senior & Associate Architects within one of the UK's leading firms, enabling rapid development early in your career. The practice promotes from within and mentors for progression to Associate level and beyond, with potential for the Birmingham office to move into a management position in the not too distant future.

Experience needed: ideally at least a couple of years of post-qualification experience. Both design and technical capabilities are required, with exposure to a wide range of projects as the practice works across Residential, Commercial and Education sectors.

Skills & Qualifications

• UK recognised qualifications at Part 1, 2 & 3 level.
• Approx. 2-5 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience across most if not all RIBA stages.
• Experience working in a broad range of sectors with Residential & Education work being of high interest.
• AutoCAD and Revit proficiency (essential).
• A willingness and eagerness to learn and progress.
