• Support data quality, performance and refresh processes.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced ArcGIS Online Developer/GIS Specialist to support the delivery of web-based geospatial solutions within a complex, regulated public-sector environment. The role will focus on configuring, developing and optimising ArcGIS Online services to improve access to spatial data, insight and decision-making.

Delivery will be GDS-aligned, working to recognised standards for accessibility, security, data governance and iterative delivery. The engagement will be delivered under a Statement of Work, with clearly defined outcomes and deliverables, ensuring it remains outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and manage ArcGIS Online environments, including users, roles and security
• Publish, manage and optimise hosted feature layers, web maps and services
• Design and build interactive dashboards and mapping applications using ArcGIS Dashboards
• Experience Builder or Web AppBuilder
• Integrate spatial and non-spatial data from multiple sources (APIs, databases, spreadsheets)
• Support GDS-aligned delivery, including iterative development, usability, accessibility and clear documentation
• Support data quality, performance and refresh processes, including automation where required
• Deliver light-touch customisation using ArcGIS APIs (REST/JavaScript)
• Produce concise technical documentation and support effective knowledge transfer
