Through the collection and resale of gently used goods, we provide financial support to assist men and women facing social and spiritual challenges. Our in-residence rehabilitation program emphasizes basic necessities, offering a clean and healthy environment, nutritious food, work therapy, leisure activities, counseling, and spiritual guidance. Our efforts focus on developing life skills and fostering a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. More than just a job, each team member contributes to recycling goods that help repair broken lives.

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Sales and Production Associate responsible for duties in both the store and production areas. The role involves maintaining order, creating a welcoming environment, and fostering customer relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain a pleasant, hospitable work environment and good customer relationships.
  • Assist with store operations as needed.
  • Serve customers courteously and efficiently.
  • Handle donations with care and respect donors.
  • Manage merchandise categorization and color coding.
  • Ensure the store is stocked according to the 'ARC COMMAND RAG OUT CALENDAR.'
  • Assist with cleaning and general maintenance.
  • Report theft, complaints, injuries, and unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, clutter-free workspace.
  • Follow the 'Guide to Thrift Store & Donation Center Operations' manual.
  • Support work therapy programs by demonstrating professional conduct and supervision as directed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
  • Cashier/Sales Floor: Handle cash operations, restock, and maintain displays.
  • Sorter: Sort garments by department, assist with donations, and manage clothing racks.
  • Hanger/Tagger: Hang and ticket clothing, maintain merchandise order.
  • Preparer: Price garments, maintain knowledge of merchandise value.
  • Runner: Transfer garments from production to sales floor, maintain racks.
  • Bric-a-Brac: Sort, clean, and price miscellaneous items.
  • Shoes/Accessories: Sort, ticket, and process shoes and accessories.
  • Domestic: Sort and measure linen items, price, and process.
  • Books/Records/Toys: Sort, clean, price, and organize merchandise.
  • Furniture/Electrical: Sort, clean, test, price, and manage furniture and electrical donations.
  • Donations/Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness, accept donations, and perform lawn and garden work.
