Job description
Apprentice Electrician

Office based in Norwich, but travel required to BHA properties throughout Norfolk and North Suffolk.

Salary £17,275 per annum (salary progression opportunities subject to satisfactory performance)

Full time – 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Fixed Term Contract for the duration of the apprenticeship (approx. 48 months).

About the role

Are you a school or college leaver who’s looking for the first step in their career? Or are you looking to gain additional skills in a new role or sector? If so, we are currently recruiting an Apprentice Electrician, which could be just the role for you!

We are looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Electrician to join our Electrical Team to help ensure our properties are maintained to a high standard whilst completing a recognised Electrical Installation Apprenticeship. As part of this apprenticeship, you will work alongside our skilled and experienced Electricians to gain knowledge and understanding of being an Electrician as well as learning about the Social Housing Sector. You will be supported in working towards your Installation Electrician Apprenticeship, learning new skills and gaining a qualification to support your professional development.

About you

The ideal candidate will be educated to GCSE Level 4/Grade C or equivalent, they will also have good numeracy and literacy skills and have experience of working as part of a team. Please note, applicants who do not meet all of the essential criteria will still be considered providing they demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to work towards equivalent qualifications/skills.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake a basic level Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
