A leading engineering consultancy in the UK is seeking an apprentice for a civil engineering role. This position involves working on significant projects within various sectors including transport and infrastructure. You will receive training and have the chance to complete a fully funded accredited civil engineering degree. Ideal candidates will have strong GCSEs and A levels along with skills in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage. Job Overview

In an apprentice role you will work on exciting, ground-breaking projects from day one, with support to grow in your chosen discipline as well as training to develop the core skills needed to succeed in a professional organisation. Our early careers programme gives you the chance to connect with others across the region / business who are also starting their career, as well as mentoring, Chartership suppors and more. You will work with the support of senior colleagues on flagship and regionally significant schemes across our defence, transport, infrastructure, healthcare, education, commercial, industrial and residential portfolios. You will be involved with the production of designs, specifications, technical reports and site supervision. You will be given the opportunity to work towards professional qualification with the Institution of Civil Engineers. We take pride in delivering projects effectively for clients. This often requires colleagues to be together- in offices or on site - to ensure the best outcomes. However, when possible, we also advocate for flexibility around how, when, and where you work. There is no 'one approach fits all' - each team manages their own way of working, we trust our employees and focus on outputs not inputs. Meeting up with colleague and clients face to face in office environments or on site is important for collaboration, face‑to‑face meetings, appraisals and development.

You will gain experience and understanding of flood risk management, sustainable drainage and highways infrastructure. You will be involved with the design of private and public highways, drainage, including producing specifications, calculations and technical reports. You will gain knowledge of flood risk assessment. You will develop skills in the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroDrainage. This position will include day release to complete a fully funded professionally accredited BSc or BEng civil engineering degree at University and the duration of this apprenticeship is approximately 60 months Qualification/skills: A minimum of three A levels at Grades A,A,B including Mathematics and Physical Science or equivalent or will have completed a Level 3 extended Apprenticeship as a Civil Engineering Technician.
