Position Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our booking office. We currently have a vacancy for a full-time (37.5) Appointments Booking Clerk to be based at the Eastbourne District General Hospital, within the Outpatient Booking Service, in East Sussex Healthcare, NHS Trust.

Responsibilities

The appointment booking clerk will: ring patients to agree dates, manage appointment bookings, and perform rostered telephone sessions as required by service needs.

Responsibilities also include adhering to strict deadlines and working independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

Applicants should have excellent communication skills, IT knowledge, and the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.

Working Hours

The service operates between 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday, with shifts of 08:00–16:00 or 09:00–17:00.
