This role involves preparing quotations and estimates for HVAC ventilation products, providing technical guidance to clients, and liaising with M&E Contractors. Ideal candidates should have experience in a similar role within the HVAC industry, strong technical understanding of Air Handling Units (AHUs) and HVAC products, and relevant engineering qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Applications Engineer, Internal Estimator or similar role in HVAC industry.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC products including fans, heat recovery systems, grilles, diffusers.
• Technical qualifications such as HND/HNC are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quotation and estimates for HVAC products.
• Provide technical guidance to clients on product suitability.
• Engage directly with M&E Contractors to tailor solutions.
• Collaborate with Projects Team and Sales professionals.

Applications Engineer / Proposals Engineer / Technical Sales Support

Applications Engineer / Proposals Engineer / Technical Sales Support to join a leading HVAC manufacturer.

This Applications Engineer / Proposals Engineer / Technical Sales Support will be required to take projects from conception through to completion, providing quotation, estimates, calculation methods, client liaison to meet bespoke requirements on a range of HVAC ventilation products such as Air Handling Units (AHUs), fans, heat recovery systems, grilles, diffusers, ducting.

The Applications Engineer / Proposals Engineer / Technical Sales Support will ideally have a background undertaking estimates, quotations and general strong technical understanding of Air Handling Units (AHUs) and/or ventilation products. This is an office-based role in Birmingham.

• £35,000-£45,000

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quotation, estimates for Air Handling Units and ranging ventilation products such as fans, heat recovery systems, grilles, diffusers, ducting
• Provide technical guidance to clients ensuring HVAC ventilation products are suitable from performance and design perspective
• Direct engagement with customer base of M&E Contractors/M&E Consultants to understand requirements, tailor solutions
• Work closely with Projects Team and External Sales professionals
• Must be able to commute to the office in Birmingham

Requirements

• Experience as an Applications Engineer, Internal Estimator, Technical Estimator, Technical Sales Support, Sales Support Engineer, Proposals Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer, HVAC and/or AHU Estimator within the HVAC industry
• Strong knowledge of Air Handling Units (AHUs) and/or HVAC ventilation products such as fans, heat recovery systems, grilles, diffusers, ducting
• Technical Mechanical Engineering/Building Services Engineering degree, HND/HNC, higher level qualification would be advantageous
• Experience of direct communications with clients including M&E Contractors, M&E Consultants
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings/specifications
• Must be able to commute to the office in Birmingham
