We have an exciting opportunity to join our community of experts at DWP Digital as an Application Operations Engineer within our Centralised Application Support Services (CASS) that spans DWP Digital.

We're looking for Application Operations Engineers to help keep our applications running smoothly and make them even better. You'll work with a mix of technologies, from Linux and Windows servers to databases, cloud platforms and third-party software. Every day is different, you might be troubleshooting issues, deploying changes, monitoring performance or improving processes.
You’ll be part of a collaborative team, sharing knowledge and working closely with developers, architects, testers and other specialists. We use frameworks like ITIL, Agile and Scrum to make sure everything runs efficiently and delivers real value to our users.
On the technical side, you’ll get hands on experience with managing certificates and key exchanges, diagnosing networking issues and working across both cloud and on-prem environments. You’ll also be involved in proactive monitoring, implementing fixes and contributing to continual service improvements to keep our applications secure, stable and high performing.
• You’ll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Blackpool or Newcastle whichever is most convenient for you.
We work a hybrid model - you’ll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
