K&A Appliance - Appliance Service Technician

K&A Appliance has an opening for a full-time Appliance Service Technician to work out of their Lancaster facility.

Job Summary:

1. Diagnose and repair major household appliances in customers’ homes
2. Assist with service repairs in warehouse when needed
3. Prepare invoices and collect payments on completed service calls and for parts or additional labor costs from customers
4. Maintain the Service Van and keep it stocked with parts used regularly
5. Communicate effectively with Service Coordinator regarding service calls and issues
6. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7am to 5:30pm
7. Work 40-50 hours weekly depending on service call volume

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years experience servicing and repairing major household appliances as a full-time technician
• Valid and clean driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently; more with assistance or leverage device
• Proficient in connecting water and gas lines and checking for leaks
• Provide excellent service and customer care in customers' homes
• Mechanical skills and willingness to learn new skills
• Protect the customer's home and clean work area of debris
• Maintain a professional appearance (uniforms provided)
• Complete all paperwork legibly
• Work well under pressure and respond professionally and courteously
• Cooperative with colleagues and supervisors
