A healthcare organization in Chichester is seeking an Anticoagulation Administrator to assist in running clinics and manage patient queries. We are looking for an Anticoagulation Administrator to support the organisation of anticoagulation clinics and the day‑to‑day smooth running of the service. You will receive referrals, handle complex anticoagulation queries and act as the initial contact point for service users and stakeholders.
Under the leadership and guidance of the Thrombosis and Anticoagulation Administration Manager, you will use your own judgement to determine when advice from senior colleagues is required. You will follow all department protocols, raise concerns and liaise with laboratory staff, clinicians, and external stakeholders.
The role requires you to work autonomously and, when necessary, in conjunction with the administrative team, clinical nurse specialists, Consultants and internal and external stakeholders.

Act as a point of contact for patients, carers and telephone callers.
Provide and receive complex and sensitive information such as personal medical information.
Deal with enquiries from users, patients and other staff in a polite and helpful manner, seeking scientific staff advice where required.
Work as part of a team and liaise with Medical Laboratory Assistants and Biomedical Scientists within the Haematology and Pathology Departments.
Contribute fully to the Trust vision and corporate objectives, demonstrating respect, dignity and privacy of all staff and patients.
Attend regular staff meetings for effective communication.
Provide fast anticoagulation referral reviews, adding referrals to DAWN and CAREFLOW, and book clinic appointments where appropriate.
Identify and problem‑solve service issues and report to the Administration Manager and/or Clinical Nurse Specialists.
Close work with the Administration Manager to ensure constantly updated system reviews, patient management and best practice.
Ensure all clinical responsibilities are conducted in accordance with Trust policies and guidelines regarding infection control and prevention.
Contribute to a safe and therapeutic environment for all staff, patients, relatives, friends and visitors.
Answer the patient telephone line, including managing the answerphone system, dealing with complex anticoagulation queries, rebooking appointments as appropriate, and passing on advice from the Clinical Nurse Specialist when required.
Book patient clinic appointments using CAREFLOW, use the 4s DAWN Anticoagulation Dosing System, and accurately and timely enter patient data.
Upload relevant documentation into DAWN and Evolve to develop a paperless environment.
