Job summary

An international life sciences company in the UK is looking for an Analytical Chemical Development Scientist to join their team on a full-time, fixed-term contract. You will perform both routine and non-routine analytical tests and develop validation methods for various substances. Job description
Analytical Chemical Development Scientist

Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries. This full‑time, 12‑month fixed‑term contract position works a flexible 36.5‑hour week, Monday – Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and non‑routine analytical testing for regulatory starting materials, intermediates and drug substance using LC, GC, MS and spectroscopic techniques.
  • Develop and validate LC and GC analytical methodology.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and support continuous improvement of quality and service.
  • Document data accurately in electronic notebooks and chromatographic data systems.
  • Prepare reports and update documentation as requested by the Lead Scientist or client representative.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Chemistry or analytical chemistry.
  • Strong knowledge of organic chemistry and analytical science.
  • At least 4 years of relevant pharmaceutical analysis experience in a development laboratory.
  • Experience in method development and validation; additional techniques such as NMR and LC‑MS advantageous.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot instrumentation and analytical issues.
  • Good understanding of GMP environment and quality standards.
