Aluminium Fabricator

Location : Huddersfield

Duration : Temporary to Permanent

Working Hours : Monday to Thursday 6am - 3pm and Fri 6am - 12pm

Hourly rate : £13.50 - £14.50 DOE (Higher rates offered to fabricators with strong system knowledge and proven experience with key machinery.)

Role Purpose

To fabricate, assemble and finish high-quality aluminium products in line with technical drawings, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and safe working practices in the workshop.

Your duties will include :

  • Read and interpret cutting sheets, technical drawings and fabrication manuals.
  • Operate fabrication machinery including saws, copy routers, end millers and crimpers.
  • Use hand tools such as drills, tape measures and squares to mark out and assemble components.

Carry out manual handling and general workshop duties.

Ensure all work meets quality standards and required tolerances.

Desired experience / competencies include :
  • Experience manufacturing aluminium windows, doors, curtain walling or similar products.
  • Knowledge of one or more profile systems, such as :
    • Technal
    • Wicona
    • Senior Aluminium Systems
    • Reynaers
    • Kawneer
    • Cortizo
    • Smarts
  • Strong accuracy in measuring, cutting and fitting.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to spot and resolve build issues.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
