Who we are?

The group employs over 1, people with 17 sales offices in the UK, and the Republic of Ireland, plus European teams in France Belgium and the Netherlands and internationally in Cape Town Hong Kong, China, India and the UAE.

We are looking for

An experienced airfreight export operator to effectively manage the end-to-end operations for assigned airfreight customers, complying with all operational and legal requirements. Working closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth operations process for our clients. You will be required to occasionally cover warehouse staff too which will mean building pallets.

As an airfreight export operator your responsibilities will include :

• Undertaking airfreight export operations tasks, including, receipt of bookings, arranging collections and booking with carriers and completing export clearances
• Acting as first point of contact for all matters relating to assigned jobs, managing the job from start to finish
• Occasional warehouse cover
• Providing excellent customer service, operational handling and attention to detail when dealing with customers
• Assisting with administration tasks within the department, including job costing and invoicing for the export department
• Demonstrating excellent communication with customers, agents and suppliers via phone and email
• Handling customer questions or concerns efficiently to ensure no delays or costs are incurred, escalating to the Operations Supervisor where necessary
• Undertaking airfreight export operations tasks, including, receipt of bookings, arranging collections and booking with carriers and completing export clearances
• Ensuring collection and delivery of cargo to the final delivery point whilst maintaining communication with overseas partners and offices
• Generating transit documents & customs entries, ensuring compliance HMRC obligations and international requirements
• Provide holiday cover to warehouse operation as required

Our Ideal airfreight export operator :

• Minimum 2 years airfreight export experience
• Strong customer service background, confident personality, with previous experience within Airfreight operations
• Must be able to lift and move heavy goods
• Working knowledge of export customs clearance within airfreight
• Time management and communication skills
• The ability to prioritise and to pro-actively deal with situations and use initiative
• Ability to work independently as well as blend well with a friendly and effective team
