Aircraft Mechanical Fitter I - Night Shift

Location: GAC Farnborough

About Our Group: We are a regional service center supporting Gulfstream aircraft maintenance and support. Our global company conducts R&D and delivery in the US, providing continued support worldwide.

About Our Role: The Aircraft Fitters will work on the mechanical repair and maintenance of aircraft. Night shift: 4X4, 1900-0700.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Secondary school education with GSE Grade C or above in English and Mathematics.
  • Recognized aviation industry-approved apprenticeship.
  • Experience within an EASA Part 145 organization.
  • Working knowledge of EASA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies.

Position Purpose: Under supervision, performs or assists with inspection, maintenance, and repair of aircraft systems and structures. May assume duties of Maintenance Team Lead when required and instructed by the Service Team Manager.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively to receive and understand work assignments.
  • Perform aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications under supervision.
  • Assist with aircraft movement as required.
  • Complete CMP cards, work orders, and documentation promptly.
  • Ensure work meets quality standards and specifications.
  • Properly identify and tag customer property and equipment.
  • Store aircraft components securely.
  • Follow standard operating procedures when operating ground support equipment.
  • Protect customer property.
  • Use material tracking systems for parts and labor.
  • Properly dispose of waste fluids and materials.
  • Apply 6S and Lean initiatives to maintain clean work areas.
  • Maintain tools and equipment properly.
  • Follow safety procedures, use protective equipment, and report unsafe conditions.
  • Support aircraft certification and final testing, including flight tests if required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
