Job summary

An aviation company is seeking Aircraft Mechanic/Fitters to work at Stansted Airport starting January 2026. The role involves performing maintenance on aircraft, adhering to Health and Safety guidelines, and requires candidates to hold a recognised qualification. A full clean driving licence and the ability to obtain security clearance are also essential. This position offers a competitive rate of £28.05ph outside IR35 with a day shift schedule of 5-5-4 (07:00 - 19:00).

Qualifications

• Completed a recognised apprenticeship or comparable experience.
• Experience in a Base Maintenance environment.
• Ability to obtain security clearance and hold an airside ID pass.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on aircraft as per standard procedures.
• Adhere to Health and Safety regulations and guidelines.
• Adjust working hours as needed to fulfill operational demands.

Job Overview

MPI are currently recruiting for Aircraft Mechs / Fitters based at Stansted Airport.
Start January 2026 - Long Term Contract
£28.05ph Outside IR35
Day Shift - 5-5-4 (07:00 - 19:00)
Must have your own tools.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Have completed a recognised apprenticeship, formal training program or able to demonstrate comparable qualifications and experience. (including HF/SFAR88 and EWIS)
• Have experience working in a Base Maintenance environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of Bombardier, Embraer or similar type aircraft.
• Good understanding of Health and Safety, Human Factors and Regulatory requirements.
• Flexible worker who is prepared to adjust working hours to meet operational demands.

Additional Requirements

• Candidates must have legal authorisation and the right to work in the UK.
• Full clean UK driving licence.
• Ability to obtain security clearance and hold an airside ID pass.
