Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform PPM and reactive maintenance on HVAC systems.
  • Conduct water treatment tasks for cooling systems.
  • Monitor and operate the Building Management System (BMS).
  • Work on critical HVAC systems in scientific labs.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.

Job description
Air Conditioning Engineer – M4 & M5 Corridor

Benefits: Up to £50,000 per annum.

A leading building services provider is looking for an HVAC Engineer to join their maintenance team on a prestigious contract looking after commercial buildings in the M4 & M5 Corridor region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance servicing and fault‑finding on AHUs, FCUs, pumps, boilers, and ventilation systems
  • Water treatment tasks, including dosing, temperature checks, and cooling tower maintenance
  • Monitoring and operating the Building Management System (BMS) to optimise building performance
  • Working on pressurisation units, chilled water systems, and AC units
  • Supporting critical HVAC systems in temperature‑sensitive scientific research labs
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and building standards
  • Assisting with refurbishment and upgrade projects to improve system efficiency
Qualifications
  • Recognised mechanical or HVAC qualification (Heating & Ventilation preferred)
  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent)
  • Experience in a building services maintenance environment
  • Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
  • Good communication skills
