Job description

Overview

Air Conditioning Engineer required for our client, a specialist M+E services provider with 45 years of experience operating throughout the UK. They require an Air Conditioning Engineer to work across Manchester and the surrounding area.

The engineer will work across a range of commercial sites, including prisons, educational buildings and government sites. The role covers the North West area, typically Manchester.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance and repairs of air conditioning units such as VRV, VRF, Split and Multi Splits
• Fault finding, maintaining and servicing air conditioning units

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a similar position
• Experience with maintenance, service & commissioning on air conditioning equipment
• Experience on commercial refrigeration (highly advantageous)
• Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or equivalent
• 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants (F-Gas)
• Full Driving Licence
• Live within a commutable distance of Manchester

Remuneration

• Basic Salary £38,000 to £43,000 depending on experience
• Working hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm, plus overtime available
• Travel paid after 30 minutes each way
• Overtime at enhanced rates (up to 1.82x basic rate)
• Company van and fuel card
• Annual Bonus: Discretionary, based on business and individual performance after 12 months of service
• Holidays: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
• Death in Service Insurance: 3x annual salary
• Enhanced Sick Pay: 4 weeks full pay after 7 days of sickness (post-probation)
