Job Title: Junior AI Engineer

Location: London (hybrid – meet 1‑2 times per month)

Type: Permanent

Salary: £40,000 + stock options

Interview Process: 2‑3 stages

We’re hiring for a founding AI Engineer to join a startup building AI agent infrastructure for regulated industries. They are a Seed stage company backed by a Leading London VC and you will work closely with the CTO who is a previously exited AI Founder. The product already has an MVP and a fine‑tuned LLM. The next step is scaling the organisation as they look to move towards their Series A.

Please only apply if you have a Masters + in Computer Science.

What you’ll do

• Build and fine‑tune AI models (LLMs and transformer‑based architectures).
• Work directly with customers to integrate and test new features.
• Develop and improve core components of the AI agent framework.
• Gather and act on client feedback to enhance product performance.
• Take part in design and architecture discussions.

About you

• Master’s or PhD in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or Computer Science (Russell Group or similar).
• Strong Python skills (Pandas, NumPy).
• Experience or exposure to NLP, transformers, and LLMs.
• Familiarity with ML tools like Weights & Biases or MLflow is a plus.
• Curious, proactive, and confident working independently.
• Ideally based near London for occasional client visits.
