Job description
About the role

This role will involve working closely with Clinical Investigators, Research Nurses and other members of research teams to maintain holistic support for all clinical trial participants, thus facilitating a high-quality research service. The post holder is responsible for management of a defined portfolio of studies and caseload of patients participating in research trials in NHS care., To manage studies in collaboration with existing research staff, act as main point of contact for participants and carry out tasks including:

Responsibilities
  • 1. Working closely with the Principal Investigator to provide a consistent point of contact for the trial
  • 2. Become familiar with the protocol for the study
  • 3. Identify patients who may be suitable for the trial liaising with clinicians and attending clinical team meetings to promote research participation and remind clinical team members about the requirements for the trial
  • 4. Work with the Investigators to recruit patients to trials where appropriate and manage performance of the study.
  • 5. Give information to potential trial participants considering participation, answer their questions and refer to the Principal Investigator where required
