Overview

AGGP2026 - Graduate Wing Airframe Engineer. Start date September 2026. Airbus seeks university graduates with the aspiration, enthusiasm, and talent to help pioneer sustainable aerospace. The Airbus Global Graduate programme accelerates your growth through a personalized two-year experience designed to cultivate professional skills, business acumen, and technical abilities, with a focus on developing leadership potential from day one.

You will join a global graduate community with an annual development week to learn from leaders and peers. The programme aims to develop you into an established and valuable team member from day one.

What you will be doing

You will be on a development pathway to grow into the role of Wing Structures or Systems Installation Engineer within one of the Wing Engineering Teams in Filton, Bristol, UK. By the end of the two-year programme you will be equipped to contribute as a Wing Structures or Systems Installation Engineer.

  • Minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into the position.
  • Progress to the position of either Design or Analysis engineer in one of the Wing Structures or Systems Installation Engineering Teams in Filton.
  • Involvement in: Static stress analysis from first principles to FEM-based analysis; Design using CATIA tools, configuration management and DMU in Wing Structures and/or Systems installation; Fatigue and Damage Tolerance analysis; Digitalisation and automation of processes using coding skills.
What we are looking for
  • A degree level or equivalent in a relevant field of study
  • Degree type: Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering (2:1 or higher)
  • Recently graduated or first professional experience in a relevant field
  • Strong verbal and written communication in English
  • A desire to work in a collaborative team environment focused on driving future innovation
  • The ability to be self-aware and actively drive your own development
  • Good knowledge of coding and data analysis techniques (desirable but not essential)
  • Natural curiosity, excitement to explore, and eagerness to work in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Passion about Aerospace and the challenges of the civil aircraft market; ability to develop good client relationships
