ASA Recruitment is looking for dedicated and compassionate Care Assistants to join our team providing services in the Scottish Borders. Our roles cover Galashiels, Melrose, Selkirk, Kelso, and Peebles and surrounding towns, making it perfect if you\'re local or looking for opportunities across the region.

Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, effective, and personalised care, including support with washing, dressing, toileting, and mealtimes.
  • Deliver safe moving and handling using approved equipment such as hoists and slide sheets.
  • Consistently promote residents\' dignity, independence, and choice in line with Care Inspectorate expectations and SSSC Codes of Practice.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with residents to support emotional wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive care records, contributing to quality assurance.
Essential Requirements
  • Care experience within the UK, ideally in a care home or regulated adult social care setting.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to support a culture of quality and continuous development.
  • Flexibility to work shifts according to agency demand while maintaining high-quality care standards.
  • Current or willingness to obtain PVG membership via ASA.
  • Valid Right to Work in the UK.
  • CV covering the last 10 years of work history.
  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), or willingness to register.
