Job description

A lovely family based in Chiswick, London, is seeking an After-school Nanny to care for their two school-aged children. The ideal candidate will be calm and patient, yet energetic enough to engage the children, while also managing light child-related housekeeping duties. Responsibilities will include preparing and cooking meals for the children. This role operates on a split-shift rota, so the candidate must be comfortable with this arrangement. The family is looking for someone local who does not rely on public transport. A valid first aid qualification is a requirement for this position.

Working hours

Tues, Thur, Fri 6:15‑8:45 am then 2:45‑8:00 pm, approx 28.5 hrs per week. School holidays: Tues, Thur, Fri 6:15‑8:00 pm.

Duties
  • School drop-offs and pick-ups
  • Take the children to after school clubs
  • Ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of the children
  • Maintain proper hygiene where needed
  • Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks tailored to the children
  • Engaging the children in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings such as visits to the park
  • Encouraging early literacy by reading books to the children
  • Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines to support the children's structure and development
  • Keeping children's bedrooms and play areas clean, organised, and tidy
  • Children's ironing
  • Cook and prepare meals for the children when needed
