A leading aerospace firm is seeking an Aerospace Engineer (Professional II) in Bristol to support their UAS-1 Global Operations Team. This critical contract role involves managing Release to Service recommendations and Air System Safety Cases for complex platforms, ideal for candidates with Military Aerospace experience. Rate: Up to £550 per day (Inside IR35)

Duration: Contract until 31/03/2026

Security: Candidates will be required to hold or complete SC level vetting prior to commencing the role.

The Role

We are recruiting for an Aerospace Engineer (Professional II) to support the UAS-1 Global Operations Team.

This is a critical role working alongside Project Managers and Engineers to support Global Ops and the UAS Core delivery team. You will be responsible for Release to Service (RTS) recommendations and Air System Safety Cases for complex uncrewed platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Release to Service: Manage Op A RTS and RTSR (Release to Service Recommendations).
  • Safety Cases: Oversee the Op A Air System Safety Case (ASSC) and TASA.
  • Airworthiness: Manage Airworthiness certification and ADS activities.
Skills & Experience
Essential
  • Aerospace Background: Experience working within a Military Aerospace Environment.
  • Team Environment: Ability to work effectively within a joint military and civil team.
Desirable
  • UAV Experience: Prior work within a Military UAV/UAS environment.
  • Technical Deliverables: Experience with Air Systems Safety Case production, MilCam, and RTS.
  • Qualifications: Qualified Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or Chartered Engineer (CEng).
The Offer
  • Rate: Up to £550/day (Inside IR35).
  • Location: Bristol (Abbey Wood) with hybrid working (approx. 2 days in office, 3 days WFH).
