The role

As a Design and Certification Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the forefront of innovation and shaping designs that keep aircraft mission ready.

Day-to-day responsibilities
  • Plan, execute, and document testing activities to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Develop and compile technical publications to support engineering and operational requirements.
  • Adhere to approved processes outlined in the Design Office Handbook (DOH).
  • Contribute to process improvements and updates within the DOH.

This role is full time working 40 hours per week and is based on site at Gloucestershire Airport, Staverton.

Essential experience of the Design and Certification Engineer
  • Considerable experience in aviation, specifically within a design or certification environment.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace regulations or experience in a similarly regulated industry (e.g., rail, nuclear).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and reporting.
Qualifications for the Design and Certification Engineer

Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
