Job summary

A leading health organization is looking for an Advanced Speech and Language Therapist to manage swallowing and communication disorders in patients. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, treatment, mentoring, and participating in clinical governance. The ideal candidate will be a qualified therapist with registration from HCPC and RCSLT. Full-time and flexible working patterns available.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments, diagnosis, and treatment for dysphagia.
  • Lead and participate in videofluoroscopy and FEES.
  • Provide education, mentoring, and training to other staff.

Main duties of the job
  • Management of swallowing and communication disorders in head and neck cancer patients.
  • Videofluoroscopy and Fibre Optic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing.
  • Training, mentoring, audit, quality improvements, service development, risk management and research.
