An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Safeguarding Practitioner to join our Student Experience and Well‑being team reporting to our Safeguarding and Welfare Manager and working alongside the Resilience Champion, Participation and Development Team, Welfare Officer and wider team.
As an Advanced Safeguarding Practitioner with Etc. you will be the first point of contact for all Welfare, Safeguarding or Child Protection concerns, referring on to appropriate external agencies or using internal processes or teams where appropriate to get the best possible outcome.
The ideal candidate will be organised, empathetic, approachable and have good listening skills alongside the ability to work to high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. They will also be willing to learn and develop.
This role is a pivotal role for Safeguarding at Etc, being a primary point of contact for students ensuring all Safeguarding and Welfare interventions and actions are recorded accurately, in a timely manner, dated and shared appropriately with those (including external agencies) who have a need and a right to know. Experience of working in an education of youth service setting is essential, however further job specific training will be provided.
