Job description
Overview

Children’s Advanced Practitioner. The role is within the Court & Locality service, South locality, based in Wythenshawe, Manchester. Rate: £37 per hour.

The candidate will join a team of 4 social workers and 1 other advanced practitioner led by an experienced team manager. The role includes managing a caseload of up to 17 cases and providing support and mentoring to social workers on the team, as well as supporting the team manager.

Responsibilities
  • Carry a caseload of up to 17 cases in court proceedings, child protection, child in need and pre-proceedings work.
  • Provide support and mentoring to social workers on the team and support to the team manager.
  • Contribute to achieving the best outcomes for children within the service.
Training and Working Arrangements

The candidate will receive a clear induction, IT equipment, ICT training and ongoing support and training. Regular formal supervision on a monthly basis and regular informal supervision will be provided. The role is based in a friendly, supportive team focused on achieving the best outcomes for children. Working hours are 35 per week. Car parking is free. A UK driving licence and access to a car are required to support in undertaking the role.
