GP Surgery - Hailsham, East Sussex

Salary : Up to £60,000 per annum

Hours : Part-Time / Full-Time

Contract : Permanent

Job Summary

An established GP surgery in Hailsham is seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) with independent prescribing rights to join a supportive, forward‑thinking multidisciplinary team. The post holder will act as a first point of contact for patients presenting with acute and chronic conditions, providing high‑quality, patient‑centred care in both the surgery and patients’ homes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose and manage patients with undifferentiated presentations
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions using evidence‑based clinical practice
  • Prescribe and review medication in line with PGDs and independent prescribing guidance
  • Provide urgent and emergency care where appropriate
  • Undertake home visits for housebound patients
  • Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records

Work autonomously with access to GP support as required

Communicate effectively with patients, carers and the wider healthcare team.

About the Practice

The surgery serves approximately 6,600 patients and is part of a local Primary Care Network (PCN) alongside neighbouring GP surgeries. The multidisciplinary team includes GP partners, salaried GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, practice nurses and phlebotomists.
