A healthcare provider in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join their practice, which serves a patient population of 17,000. The successful candidate will work autonomously, assessing, diagnosing, and treating a variety of conditions. Requirements include a Master's degree in nursing, independent nurse prescribing qualifications, and at least two years of experience in a primary care setting. We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic & highly motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our friendly and growing practice team. We are a 4 site practice providing high quality care to 17,000 patients in the Longton & Meir areas of Stoke On Trent. You will be an autonomous practitioner working independently and in conjunction with other health care professionals. You will assess, diagnose and treat patients with a range of minor illness and injuries, acute and chronic medical conditions and initiate direct referrals as appropriate.
The post holder will be experienced and competent in working in general practice, using their expert clinical knowledge and skills. You will have the authority to make autonomous decisions in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients.
The post holder must be able to independently prescribe appropriate medication, evaluate or refer to other specialists if necessary and ensure that patients fully understand any procedure to be carried out on them, and that the appropriate consent is obtained and documented in the Emis Web clinical system.
