Advanced Nurse Practitioner - Urology Cancer

The closing date is 13 October 2025

One full-time post (37.5 hours) and one part-time post (22.5 hours) have become available as a Urology Cancer Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP). The post holder will provide clinical leadership, service provision and education in prostate cancer diagnostics. They will lead, working alongside the clinical and operational teams, a prostate diagnostic service to meet national targets and standards. They will role model and provide supervision in delivering expert patient care, including assessing patients presenting with suspected cancer, delivering diagnosis and performing transperineal prostate biopsies.

Main duties

Duties to include but are not limited to the following within the Urology Specialist Nursing Team:

  • FDS (2 week wait) outpatients clinics
  • Independent in LATP biopsy lists
  • Giving of cancer results & treatment plans
  • Active participation in MDT
  • Prostate cancer patient contact & support
  • Nurse prescriber
