Job description
Overview

Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP/ACP) opportunity within an Urgent Care Centre (UCC) based in West Midlands. The role involves working as a Junior practitioner within the UTC, undertaking assessments of a range of health and clinical needs within your scope of competence. You will use clinical practice skills and judgement to diagnose, refer or discharge patients. Participation in educational activities is expected to enhance clinical knowledge and skills with the aim of progressing to Emergency Clinical Practitioner/Advanced Clinical Practitioner.

You will carry out initial patient assessments, recording brief history and observations, and signpost patients to the most appropriate service for their healthcare needs. You will apply your knowledge and experience to plan and provide skilled, competent care to meet patients’ health and social care needs, ensuring high-quality clinical care delivered in a timely manner. Essential: Must have A&E or UTC experience – V300 & Level 7 Masters ANP/ACP.

The role will operate on a shift rota with a mix of days and long days.

Responsibilities
  • Perform initial patient assessments, collect history and observations.
  • Diagnose, refer or discharge within scope of competence.
  • Signpost patients to appropriate services and coordinate care as needed.
  • Participate in educational activities to develop clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Contribute to high-quality, timely patient care within an Urgent Care/UCC setting.
  • Work within a rota with mixed day shifts.
