Job description

St James Surgery in Clacton is looking to recruit an advanced clinical practitioner/paramedic to join our multi‑disciplinary team strengthening our acute visiting service.

The post holder must be a non‑medical prescriber and capable of managing a wide range of acute presentations seen in primary care. You will have developed the skills and knowledge to allow you to take on an expanded role and scope of practice caring for patients.

The post‑holder will:

  • Provide a high quality visiting service for patients requiring same‑day clinical assessment within the community
  • Prevent unnecessary hospital admissions
  • Support frail and vulnerable patients
  • Deliver timely autonomous clinical decision making
About the Candidate

The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility in attitude and behaviour. They will be keen to undertake new ways of working and delivering healthcare committing to undertake the professional development required to adapt to changing circumstances.

Qualifications skills and experience required:

  • Professional registration with relevant professional body: NMC HCPC

We are a large friendly hardworking surgery with our main surgery located in Clacton and a branch in St Osyth. We are an EMIS Web practice with a patient list size of 15200 patients.
