A local community council in Barrow-in-Furness is seeking an enthusiastic Art tutor to teach workshops and courses. This part-time position requires adaptability in teaching styles to cater to diverse learners. A strong background in Art and a passion for inspiring others are essential. Are you passionate about Art and keen to inspire the local Barrow community? We’re offering an exciting opportunity to teach Art workshops and courses in Barrow-in-Furness and the surrounding area. You’ll be delivering creative sessions that support learners in developing their artisticskills—and for many, these classes will also be a valuable boost to their wellbeing and mental health.
We’re looking for a talented and enthusiastic Art tutor to join our Adult Learning service working in Barrow-in-Furness on a part-time basis. If you have a strong background in Art and a genuine passion for sharing your skills, we’d love to hear from you. Whether your expertise is in fine art, multimedia, textiles—or a mix—we’re open and flexible for the right person.

Our learners come from all walks of life and have a wide range of abilities—from complete beginners to more experienced artists. That’s why we’re looking for someone who can adapt their teaching to suit different learning styles and needs. Classes run during the day and in the evening, so flexibility is key.
Ideally, you’ll already hold a teaching qualification. We are happy to consider applications from people who will enrol on one within the first 6-months of employment with us.
