This role is with Adopt South, the partnership Regional Adoption Agency for Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, and Southampton local authorities, with the lead authority Hampshire County Council as the employer.

The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Child and Family Support Worker (CFSW) in our friendly and dynamic Recruitment and Stage One Team based at Glen House in Swanwick. You will work with our qualified Social Workers and CFSW’s, to support the early stages of recruiting and assessing potential adopters.

What you’ll do

As part of your role, you will provide advice and guidance to those enquiring about adoption and those who have applied to become adopters. You will be involved in marketing initiatives and recruitment events. You will play a role in the delivery of our regular webinars, face to face sessions and at community recruitment events and stands.

What we’re looking for

Your customer service experience will help support potential adopters in their understanding of the adoption process, signposting or helping them organise childcare experience, as well other arrangements when deciding to start the adoption application process.

You will have the ability to make people feel comfortable and respected, delivering our values around inclusivity and diversity. Good organisational skills are essential for recording conversations and uploading data accurately.

You must be able to make regular journeys to different locations around the districts and county.

You will also need to work flexibly, providing support for weekly recruitment events at weekends and evenings, which can be claimed back as Time Off in Lieu (TOIL).

We would love to hear from you if you have the skills and qualities we are looking for in this customer facing role. You could be part of our team, making a real difference to children who need the love, patience and understanding of a forever family.
