This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic business where you will support the sales function, manage customer accounts, and play a key role in driving growth and customer satisfaction.

The Role
  • Interact with existing customers to increase sales of products and services.
  • Process, create, and up‑sell orders, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction.
  • Use proactive selling techniques to expand accounts and generate new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with external sales colleagues to achieve team goals.
Responsibilities
  • Handle orders via email and telephone, verifying details and ensuring smooth fulfilment.
  • Increase orders by suggesting related items, explaining product features, and reviewing customer buying history.
  • Qualify and develop opportunities passed from marketing, external sales, and national accounts.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations to secure orders or understand reasons for lost business.
  • Review open customer orders, taking action to meet promised delivery dates.
  • Maintain backorder reports and keep customers informed of updates.
  • Report industry trends, competitive pricing, and customer feedback to management.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes.
Qualifications & Skills
  • 2 years' experience in sales administration or internal sales.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and thrive in a team environment.
