Job Description:

Job Purpose: To provide administrative support in the delivery of undergraduate programmes in the School of Biodiversity, One Health and Veterinary Medicine, Undergraduate School Office.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with the timetabling process, including practicals, DOPs, module updates, CMIS & room bookings.
  2. Provide administrative support to the EMS Office, including data input, updating the Student Experience Log (SEL), and processing health and safety paperwork.
  3. Monitor student absences, especially for final year rotations and expenses.
  4. Keep relevant systems, such as MyCampus, up-to-date and accurate.
  5. Coordinate Induction Week events with course administrators.
  6. Serve as a clerk on rotational basis for various committees, e.g., BVMS & BSc Programme Boards.
  7. Undertake other relevant duties as directed by the line manager or course administrators.
Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Essential:
  • Ability to demonstrate competencies required for this role, with relevant knowledge and skills or equivalent qualifications (Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 5 or 6).
  • IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Office 365, and Outlook.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Initiative, judgment, and ability to plan and respond to changing requirements.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

Terms and Conditions:
