Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an Administrative Assistant / Paralegal to join the busy team at our Leeds Head Office.

To provide secretarial and clerical support to fee earners in the practice.

To ensure the successful development of both the department and the firm in line with the annual and 5 year business plans.

Key Tasks
  • Opening new files and inputting new instructions onto the Case Management system and producing relevant letters and documents.
  • Dealing with matters at all stages, from taking the client’s initial instructions through to billing, under supervision and in accordance with office and accounts procedures.
  • Updating the Case Management system in accordance with team procedures as the matter progresses.
  • Dealing with telephone enquiries where possible or taking messages for colleagues.
  • Maintain diaries and make appointments when required.
  • Liaising with associated third parties, such as insurance companies in relation to administrative processes.
  • Drafting proposal documents for prospective clients.
  • General administration duties for the team.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Contribute to maintaining and improving office procedures.
  • Any other duties which from time to time are required by the firm.
