Contract Details

3 Fixed Term Contracts up to 12 months – 2 positions at Plymouth Combined Court and 1 position at Torquay County Court. Applications for part‑time working will be considered; minimum days required per week is four full days.

Work travel expenses will be paid in accordance with organisational policies.

Role Responsibilities
  • Prepare papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings and meetings.
  • Create and update records on our in‑house computer system and perform data input.
  • Record court results accurately, interpreting information required on a court file.
  • Check and verify documents, records, accounts, claims and returns for approval, results, statistics, plans etc. against criteria, regulations or procedures.
  • Collect and assemble information for returns, results, accounts, statements, warrants, statistical analysis, reports etc.
  • Communicate with the public, the judiciary, other court and tribunal users and representatives of other agencies and organisations.

  • Friendly and approachable manner.
  • Excellent attention to detail and good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Desire to deliver proactive and effective support to customers by phone and email.
  • Skilled in organising time, prioritising efficiently, able to multi‑task and adapt to using various software packages.
  • Enjoy working in a busy environment and helping court users navigate the justice system.
