Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in mental health therapeutics, or willing to study for such.
• Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
• Completion of an accredited Independent Prescribing course with at least 12 months of post-qualification experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee repeat prescriptions and ensure alignment with clinical recommendations.
• Support implementation of NHS Electronic Prescription Service for ADHD medications.
• Review and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings regarding medication use.

Skills

Experience in prescribing ADHD medications

Use of CRM Tools

Maintain confidentiality

Knowledge of mental health terminology

Education

Postgraduate qualification in mental health therapeutics

Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
