Compensation: £39,140 - £45,320 / year

Overview

Priory Hospital Hayes Grove is looking to recruit an Addictions Therapist to join our dedicated team. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week.

Priory Hospital Hayes Grove offers world-class residential treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, drug, and alcohol addiction. We also provide outpatient services for young people, alongside private CAMHS assessments and autism assessments for adults.

What you'll be doing
  • Be part of a compassionate team committed to patients' wellbeing, using a personalised approach and proven therapies to support recovery and wellbeing.
  • Assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertake routine tasks to facilitate wellbeing, dignity, and treatment.
  • Facilitate specialist psycho-educational and relapse prevention therapy groups tailored to support patients' recovery journeys within the addictions service.
  • Deliver individual therapy sessions, providing personalised care to help patients achieve their treatment goals.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop detailed, person-centred treatment plans to guide patient care and recovery.
  • Collaborate within a supportive, multidisciplinary team that values a friendly and inclusive working environment.
  • Participate in regular supervision, staff support groups, and annual appraisals to foster ongoing professional development and wellbeing.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills and maintain a flexible, adaptable approach to meet evolving patient and service needs.
What you'll bring to the role

We are seeking candidates with resilience and empathy. You will have experience in the field and be familiar with abstinence-based treatment, especially the 12-step informed approach. You should hold at least a Level 5 Diploma in counselling and/or a relevant professional qualification in addictions, along with full BACP accreditation.

Applications from those working towards BACP accreditation within the next six to 12 months can be considered, with a revised full-time equivalent salary banding of £27,810-£36,050 (depending on experience) until full accreditation is achieved.
