Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Adaptations Supervisor (PO3) to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will lead and oversee the adaptation process of various projects, ensuring they meet both creative and organizational standards. As an Adaptations Supervisor, you will work closely with the creative team, project managers, and other stakeholders to develop innovative adaptation strategies tailored to diverse audiences. Your expertise in storytelling and content adaptation will be crucial in transforming original concepts into compelling formats across various media, including television, film, and digital platforms. Additionally, the Ideal candidate will be proficient in analyzing existing materials and identifying areas for enhancement, transformation, or modification while maintaining the integrity of the original work. You will have the opportunity to mentor and guide junior staff members, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and growth. Your leadership will be crucial in driving projects from inception to completion, ensuring that timelines are met and that quality standards are upheld. Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the adaptation process for various projects ensuring alignment with creative vision and standards.
  • Collaborate with writers, directors, and producers to create effective adaptation strategies.
  • Analyze source material and identify key elements for adaptation while maintaining original intent.
  • Supervise and mentor junior adaptation staff, providing guidance and constructive feedback.
  • Develop project timelines and oversee their execution to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Conduct quality checks on adapted materials to ensure they meet established guidelines and expectations.
  • Maintain knowledge of current trends in adaptations across media and recommend innovative approaches.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Studies, Literature, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in content adaptation, project management, or a related area.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and adapt diverse types of materials creatively.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams or leading projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in media production tools and adaptation software.
  • A deep passion for storytelling and understanding of narrative structures.
